These socks have been treated with an organic repellent (IR3535).
The product is designed to provide the user with long-lasting protection against insect stings and bites (mainly ticks). With proper storage and care, the repellent lasts for 100 washes.

Care instructions
Socks should not be dry cleaned, as this removes the active ingredient.
The shortest possible wash cycle and a neutral PH detergent extend the life of the repellent.
