ThermaCELL MR-BP mosquito repellent device. The Thermacell MR-BP Backpacker mosquito repellent creates a 20 m2 protection zone against mosquitoes. It weighs only 113 grams but provides up to 90 hours of protection when using a 100g gas canister for camping.

The Thermacell mosquito lamp works by replacing refills that are saturated with allethrin. Allethrin is a synthetic analogue or chemical copy of pyrethrin, which is found in chrysanthemums, and affects the nervous system of mosquitoes and other insects. This lightweight handheld device has been tested and approved by the US Army and is currently used for mosquito control in Iraq, Kuwait, and Afghanistan. They help effectively get rid of mosquitoes and offer 12 hours (standard kit) of protection against mosquito bites and mosquito-borne diseases without using DEET or other harsh chemicals.

Depending on the area, allow 10–30 minutes for the device to become effective. The product works well outdoors in areas with minimal air movement: on terraces, pergolas, patios, and gardens. One device should be used for an area of 21 m² (4.5x4.5 m area) or within a 4.5 m radius.

Usage restrictions: for outdoor use only to repel insects.
Do not use indoors, in tents, or other enclosed spaces. Only "ThermaCELL®" mats can be inserted into the device. Cover or remove all open food products. Do not leave the device unattended or use it in windy weather. Do not leave the device or mats in the rain. Do not hang the device on your body or clothing. Place the device's grilles upright on a stable surface. Clean the disconnected and cooled device with a damp cloth.
